Pick your dimensions and we’ll make it fit. Our reclaimed beams (Rimu, Macrocarpa, and Redwood) are kept unprocessed, so we can cut boards to the size you need. Because it’s reclaimed timber, you may see a little history—like the odd nail hole. We fill these where required, aim to keep them as discreet as possible, and seal every board with a food-safe finish.

How to order (after-hours service)

These boards are made outside our daytime workload, so please get in touch first. Use our contact page or email sales@ashlaser.co.nz with:

• the size you want
• your timber preference
• any design or engraving ideas

We’ll reply after hours with a quote and a realistic timeframe based on timber availability and our current queue.

Design & artwork

• Text, simple logos, or our in-house artwork are fast to prepare.
• Custom images (your photos or artwork) usually need 1–2 hours of prep to make them laser-ready (clean-up, tracing/vectorising, and test burns if needed).

We’ll send you a digital proof to approve. Once you’ve signed off, payment is required upfront for any custom artwork/prep work before we proceed.

Build process & timing

Typical steps include:

• Milling to size
• Glue-up and flattening
• Sanding and edge profiling
• Food-safe sealing + cure time (usually 24–48 hours)
• Engraving your design
• Re-sanding
• Final finish: locally sourced beeswax + linseed

Note: Our Store Notice shows our current turnaround time (days out) and is kept up to date, so you’ll have a clear, realistic expectation before ordering.
